Personal protection adapter BDI-A 2 30 IP54 / personal protection plug for outside (two-pole cut-off, 30mA)
Description
The BDI-A 2 30 human protection adapter from Brennenstuhl in the colour yellow is used to protect against dangerous electric shocks. Thanks to the IP54 protection class, it can be used in outdoor areas and is protected against dust and splash water. Thanks to the personal protection plug, residual currents are detected immediately and disconnected from the mains in a flash. The residual current circuit breaker also convinces with the following features:
- Rated frequency: 50/60 Hz
- Max. switching capacity: 3500 W
- Max. current carrying capacity Current carrying capacity: 16 A
- With increased protection against accidental contact
- Min. ambient temperature: -25 °C
- Max. ambient temperature Ambient temperature: 40 °C
A residual current circuit breaker (RCD) is an electrical protective device used primarily to protect against electric shocks. The RCD detects the difference between the incoming and outgoing current in a circuit. If a fault current occurs, for example due to an insulation fault or a current flow via an unwanted discharge such as a person, the RCD switches off the circuit. This significantly reduces the risk of electric shock or fire caused by a fault current. When used as personal protection, a residual current device must trip and interrupt the circuit at a residual current of 30mA at the latest.
